Self-Fulfilling Prophecy…
What does that mean? We hear that term in relation to failure… When we strive toward some endeavor and it starts to “go wrong” we’re considered to be in a self-fulfilling prophecy of destruction.
Well, on the reverse side of that coin must be the self-fulfilling prophecy of construction, of things going well… That truly is that secret energy that people refer to, about creating what you want. That is the belief that you can have what you dream and you are worth success in any endeavor that you pursue.
When we talk about the negative self-fulfilling prophecy it’s because when we take on something new there is the element of the unknown. We wonder if it’s going to work out. The destructive self-fulfilling prophecy is to think about all the deals and endeavors that didn’t work out and to bring that energy forward into what we are trying to achieve today. We tell ourselves we don’t want to emotionally attach ourselves to the new and unknown because we don’t want to be disappointed.
But if we don’t emotionally attach ourselves to it, how can we expect it to succeed? How can it achieve the success that we’re looking for if we don’t give ourselves 100% to it and the belief that it is meant to be? We need to learn that in the art of creative manifestation that we must believe that we’re going to achieve the goal that we are striving toward and that we do deserve it. But to do this without having to ‘glorify’ the endeavor or be pompous about it in front of other people. To have this belief when we are alone and with our Creator, to believe that we can have this and to literally know that this is possible and is going to happen. That we’re going to make it happen.
This is the self-fulfilling prophecy that we want to enter into. A self-fulfilling prophecy of success. That is what we must discover.
We must deal with those hidden voices that tell us we won’t succeed… Those petty games that we play about not attaching ourselves to it for fear we’ll be disappointed, but really just attaching negative emotion to it. We must dispel this by saying “No! I’m going to attach positively to this and if it doesn’t work out I’ll learn from it. But I’m going to believe 100% that the success is there and that this can be done.” We can’t stay detached and then attempt to put emotion into it once we know it’s going to work out because how can it without the correct committed emotion? It’s not possible.
And “fear of success” is another term that is so hard to understand. What does it mean when someone says that they are afraid to succeed? That’s a hard thing to swallow. That’s a hard thing to acknowledge to say, “I’m afraid to succeed,” and not know what that means. The “fear of success” is not that we don’t want to succeed; it’s that we’re afraid that it’s not going to work out. Instead we need to remove that fear and supplant it with the belief in success. That’s what “fear of success” means: the opposite of belief in succeeding. The fear is entered into when we start thinking about all the past endeavors that didn’t work out that we wished would have. “Is this going to be another one of those things where I get my hopes up and it doesn’t work out?” That is the fear of success and what fear of succeeding means. We don’t give ourselves completely to it because we don’t want to be disappointed but the reality of it is that we create our disappointment.
We must all understand that we must expose that voice that tells us to not get attached or references things that didn’t work out which we refer to as “failures.” We must not accept any “failures” and recognize that we grow from those experiences and they were therefore actually successes. We will succeed in any current endeavor in a magnitude relative to what we think is possible and realistic. Be excited about it. Give 100% emotional commitment and do not hold back. Because there is no need to “fear” success!
Don’t be afraid anymore. Know you are going to succeed. Give yourself 100% to what ever it is you are pursuing. And know that you deserve it and that the reality of it is absolutely possible. Know that you are going to give 100% of whatever you’ve got to make it happen and believe in yourself. Undo any kind of negative self-fulfilling prophecy or any idea of being afraid of success. Do this with full knowledge that your Creator wants you to succeed, not fail. There is no failure, but we must find out what blocks us from our successes.
Have fun removing those blocks and fulfilling your potential.
Much love,
K.C.
