I have listened to his audio tapes and witnessed him conduct a lecture and found him to be an amazing presenter of information. K.C. is compelling, knowledgeable and extremely passionate about helping people. He has been an amazing asset to the recovery field in Malibu, California. His energy is unlimited and he will go above and beyond the call of duty to help people who are struggling with addiction and cognitive thinking errors. His psycho-education material is valuable to everyone, not just addicts, as it addresses common thinking errors that effect people’s thinking and behavioral patterns.

Reluctantly, a friend of mine gone from the program for 18 years recently returned. I hooked him up with some cd’s from Daily Repreive and wham!, he called me and said “this guy (you) is talking to me! That’s exactly how I feel!”. That’s exactly the reaction I had 2 years ago when I happened on the site.

I am sure you get personal face to face feedback from many in California. But KC you never, never can know all the people whose life your message touches by the magic of technology. It’s a gift that I cannot express the gratitude for enough.

I think I may have written you this before but it’s worth repeating. 5 years ago I checked into Hazelden. My ego told me I deserved the best treatment center (heck, today I probably would have gone to Promises or Le Cirque because if its good enough for Britteny….) and that was the best. At the time, the 12 x 12 was an afterthought. But recently, I attended a retreat with their long term sobriety guru, Fred Holmquist. His entire message about emotional sobriety was focused on the 12 x 12 (the “new testament” he called it), the instincts and the mind. “Don’t drink and go to meetings” isn’t enough. Your message is needed, badly needed in recovery. Your continue to do God’s work and for that there are many you may never meet that are thankful.

Keep doing what you do.

Thank you KC. Last night I was sitting outside in my peaceful, engaging place in my garden and saw a tiny frog (really little). He sat still for the longest time…then I looked away…when I looked back he was gone. I wondered how many things God brings into my space that I just “miss” seeing for lack of presence in the moment.
