The spiritual and science used by Thought Life Connection were borrowed from religion, science, and medicine. TLC has adjusted and adapted the vocabulary of the paradigm of the 12 steps so that it can be understood by every man, woman, and child.
The spiritual principles will manifest psychic change for anybody and everybody without having to have drug or alcohol addiction in their past.
Many people – regardless of experience with traditional addictions – report that as a result of practicing these powerful principles, they have been able to meet difficulties of life that they could never face before. This is a powerful pathway to a better life – a genuine way of living for anybody and everybody.
Within the lectures, you will hear people ask questions about why am I where I am, how can I get to a better place and what is blocking me. As you listen, you will realize that we all have similar problems because we live through our bodies instead of the light of our minds.

Emotionalism is telling people things about our bad behavior that they already know. Telling someone about our deepest secrets is the first sign of being willing to make true change. Get rid of your secrets. Secrets haunt you and keep you from making a real change. Emotionalism about knowing God can sometimes be seen as emotionalism when we claim we have been awakened and start claiming God is guiding us and then we don’t listen to our spiritual advisers.
Stop asking for something without giving something in return. When we clean house and trust in God’s will, we can say of myself I am nothing the father doeth the works. Path Two is all about building a quality living relationship with a power greater than any human power. At first, we change because of bad circumstance in our life. When we stop living in emotionalism, we change because of virtue and start doing the right thing . . . because we learn doing the right thing feels good. We no longer live in wishful thinking. Understanding is the key to right principles and then we learn that right action is the key to good living. Gain clarity about why we begin to change but stop. It is important to learn to run through the finish line of change.
