We get so caught up in this world — jobs, relationships, bills, heartbreak — that we forget the most fundamental truth: who we really are. Remembering this one thing can change the way you approach every single day.
The Core Truth: You Are an Extension of God
It’s really not that complicated to remember that we are all extensions of God. This is not a hard concept to own. If we are all extensions of God, then we must ask: “What is God? What is the best description of God?” Love — certainly — is the fullest description I know. God is love.
So if I am an extension of God, and God is love, then I am love. This is a great prayer and a powerful affirmation. We say it, and we pass it on — but we forget to truly live it. When we get caught up, remember: yes, I am a human being in a three-dimensional world having a physical experience — but who I really am is an extension of God. God is love. Therefore, I am love.
How to Practice the Presence of God
One of the ways we enter that realm is through practicing the presence of God — by looking at beauty, looking at nature, watching sunsets, listening to good music, reading meaningful literature. We practice the presence of God because it inspires us. That is touching the omnipresence of God. That is the first stage of enlightenment.
The second stage would be entering the omniscient mind of God — aligning ourselves with it. The omniscient mind of God comes through an idea. This is what meditation is about. Putting thought energy into something. Take an idea, and in the feeling of God’s presence, quiet down, close your eyes, and visualize.
The Three Stages of Enlightenment Through Creation
Here is a simple illustration. Imagine you want to create something beautiful — a vase. You’ve been with God, you’ve seen a beautiful sunset, you feel connected. In that feeling, you quiet down and visualize: What does the vase look like? Is it round? What color? What texture? As you start to see it, you’ve entered the idea world — the omniscient mind of God. That image that comes to you, that sings to you, is yours alone. No one else can give it to you.
Now you enter the third stage: omnipotence. You practice the omnipotence of God by using your body — letting your mind direct your body to create what you saw in the omniscient mind. You go to the store. You choose your materials. You do it with passion because you know what you’re going to create. That passion becomes power. That is aligning yourself with the omnipotence of God.
Three stages — omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence — through one simple act of creation. This is available to every human being.
Applying This to Your Real Life
Instead of the vase, let it be a relationship. Or a career. Or your health. Start with practicing the presence — find what moves you, what gives you that feeling of beauty and connection. Then enter the idea world: what does your ideal look like? What does it feel like to be living it? Then take action — groom yourself, position yourself, move toward it with passion and love.
Breaking this down and recognizing it helps us to remember who we are — and how to achieve what we want to achieve. Have fun remembering who you are and where you come from. Remember: you are an extension of God. God is love. Therefore, you are love. Feel that as much as you can today.
- You are an extension of God — and God is love. That means at your core, you are love.
- Practicing the presence of God (through beauty, nature, music) is the first stage of spiritual enlightenment
- The creative process moves through three stages: presence, idea (omniscience), action (omnipotence)
- This same process applies to relationships, goals, and anything you want to create in your life
- When you forget who you are, return to this truth: you are love, and love creates
Have fun,
Much love,
KC
